JioHotstar’s Latest Mystery Series: Binge or Cringe?

Kull: The Legacy of the Raisingghs, JioHotstar’s newest drama series, has sparked debate among viewers, with varied reactions pouring in left and right.

The plot concentrates around the royal family’s secrets and internal power struggles.

While the story had potential, many believe the execution fell short of expectations.

Nimrat Kaur and Amol Parashar received praise from the viewers for giving their best in what was a rather over-the-top script.

Many appreciate it for being visually rich and grand, with beautiful sets and costumes that capture the regal setting of the series really well.
And the praise stop there.

With its dramatic speeches, betrayals, and yelling battles, a significant portion of the audience thought the plot was overly dramatic and predictable.

Some even referred to it as a daily soap opera that excessively relies on clichés.

According to reviews, the series lacks a consistent plot and emotional connection while evidently borrowing from other popular royal dramas like The Crown, Succession, and Padmaavat.

There are differing views on social media, with some defending its potential and others agreeing that it falls short of expectations, leaving fans with nothing fresh to binge on.
