Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is known for films like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Nil Battey Sannata and Panga. While Bareilly Ki Barfi is re-releasing on big screens, she is also gearing up for an Amazon Prime film which is going to be a courtroom drama.
It will have stars like Sonakshi Sinha and Jyothika. The plot and the name of the project is a secret but the social justice aspect is set to move the viewers.
The shooting will begin in Mumbai from next month. Interestingly, Farhan Akhtar is one of the producers of this film which has gathered much attention.
The project has been in work for the past two years. Initially, the makers wanted to cast Kareena Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead role but the negotiations couldn’t be finalised.
Jyothika has much reputation in the Tamil industry. She was seen in a courtroom drama in Ponmagal Vandhal, but for Sonakshi it is an entirely new genre.
