HBO’s hit fantasy-drama show, ‘House Of The Dragon’ is ready to return with its second season this year. It has been in development for almost two years and now the release window has been announced. The second season is set to premiere sometime in June, confirmed by JB Perrette, WB Discovery’s streaming boss.
Game Of Thrones have been considered one of the best shows to be ever created, barring the final season. Based on the works of George RR Martin, the show became one of the defining points for the 2010s given its worldwide popularity and impact on how fantasy shows are expected.
House Of The Dragon is a direct prequel to GoT that follows the events that led to the fall of House Targaryen. Set 200 hundred years before the events of GoT, the show follows all the tussle on and off field which shaped the future of Westeros for the coming future.
S1 did well both critically and commercially with a rating of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and 9.99 million viewers on the night of premiere.
S2 is one of the most awaited shows of the year and is expected to surpass S1 in terms of popularity.
