
Unni Mukundan’s ‘Marco’ is now streaming on OTT and looks like the movie has almost no buzz on OTT.
The movie is streaming in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada and despite huge fans’ demand, there is still no news of a Hindi dub. The movie did good business in theaters and had a nice word of mouth.

But its underwhelming buzz on OTT is probably due to the choice of the platform. SonyLIV is not very popular in southern regions and platforms like Netflix, Hotstar or Prime Video have a better reach there.
Prime Video and Hotstar have had multiple originals in South Indian languages as well and there is a fair share of fanbase there. Marco being such a well received movie, could have done better if it were picked up by these channels.

Most of the subscribers of SonyLIV are from North India, but yet, people were urging Netflix to take up the rights for Marco in Hindi because it has a better reach.
There is still a chance of the movie doing good on OTT once it comes out in Hindi, but the limited reach of SonyLIV in South India is proving to be pretty bad for Marco.
