Thandel OTT Date: Love or Hate on Netflix?

Naga Chaitanya has scored the highest-grossing film of his career with Thandel, which has reportedly collected around 100 crores, according to the producers.

Despite this milestone, the film received mixed responses from audiences. While the love story and music were widely appreciated, the jail sequences failed to impress many viewers.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Thandel is inspired by real-life incidents involving fishermen from Matchilesam. The film stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, which has been one of the major highlights.

Now, with its theatrical run nearing its end, Thandel is set for its digital debut.

Netflix has officially announced that the film will be available for streaming from March 7 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The OTT release is happening exactly four weeks after its theatrical release.

The big question now is whether Thandel will gain renewed appreciation on streaming or if its flaws will become more apparent upon closer scrutiny. Either way, the film’s arrival on Netflix will give it a fresh set of viewers.

Produced by Bunny Vas and presented by Allu Aravind under the Geetha Arts banner, Thandel remains one of the most significant releases in Naga Chaitanya’s career.
