Netflix often arranges special screening for the cast members and Bollywood stars. Sometimes these screenings are also arranged for people whose lives are depicted in the title. However, Netflix India is going to hold a special screening this time because of a legal reason. The screening will be solely for the officers of CBI and judges to ensure there’s no objection to this docuseries.
‘The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth’ was slated to be released on 23rd of February. The CBI had moved to a special court asking for a stay on the release of the documentary series. The request was denied which prompted the CBI to move to the High Court.
Netflix India has agreed that it will not stream the series until 29th February when the hearing is going to take place. It will also arrange a special screening for the CBI after the recommendation of the High Court.
Indrani Mukerjea is the prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case which is still under investigation by the CBI. The high profile murder case shook the nation and became a prime time news item.
