No Password Sharing For Hulu?

Disney CEO Bob Iger said that Hulu, like Disney and Netflix, will prohibit account and password sharing. The modifications will take effect on January 25 for new subscribers and March 14, 2024, for current and former subscribers.

The change comes after Disney+ introduced new terms and sharing practices last year. Unless subscribers acknowledge the changes in advance, Hulu’s new account-sharing rules will take effect. The decision comes after similar measures were implemented on Disney+ last year.

Netflix, Disney’s streaming service, is limiting account sharing outside of homes and changing its dispute resolution policy. Disney has not released projections about how the changes may affect subscription counts. Netflix’s “paid password” program has delivered better-than-expected results, thanks in part to the introduction of its $7-per-month advertising tier.

According to experts, compensated password sharing represents a multibillion-dollar income potential. Wall Street is keeping a tight eye on Disney’s streaming business, as the company reaffirms its profitability prediction for the end of fiscal 2024. The organization is devoted to providing its clients with a pleasurable streaming experience.
