Despite the mixed word of mouth, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan pulled crowds in big numbers for Jawan which now stands as the highest grossing Indian film of 2023.
The latest news is that the film has headed for its OTT release on Netflix and it has made a strong debut on the OTT giant.

Jawan has reportedly clocked 14.9 million viewing hours on Netflix in less than one week from the date of its debut. It has also clocked a staggering 5.2 million views in the said timeframe which is again another record.
Now, the SRK starrer is on course to beat RRR’s first week record on OTT – 18.4 million viewing hours in the opening week. It is all but certain to break RRR’s record for highest viewing hours in the first week.

RRR had set the unprecedented record on Netflix and now, it is set to be broken by Jawaan, which comes with added advantage of SRK, who can pull Hindi OTT crowd in big numbers from day 1.
At this rate, Jawan will be the biggest Indian opener on Netflix and it would take some doing to better this record in terms of viewing hours in the first week.
