
Prime Video India’s decision to include ads in their streaming started a huge controversy a few days back. And now, within a month, the platform is competing with platforms like Jio Hotstar and SonyLIV in terms of ads.
Prime Video and Netflix were the only two platforms in India that were not showing ads to customers. But Prime has now fallen from grace of the users after introducing this new policy.

And they are showing no restraint as well. The quantity seems unbalanced. Users have taken it to social media to complain about the problem.

One user says the platform showed four ads in half an hour, which is a bit too much for the beginning of the policy.
If Prime had to keep ads after all, they could have done with three or four ads through the whole length of the movie, but it has decided to go all in and it is problematic.

The originals from Prime are failing to impress audiences as well. Not showing ads was a big element that made the platform different from Jio Hotstar or SonyLIV. But users have started losing trust over Prime Video and it should try to come up with some new policy soon.
