Mohit Suri’s love story Saiyaara grossed over 575 crores worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Indian romantic film of 2025. After its record-breaking theatrical run, the film is now gearing up for a digital release.
Starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the romantic drama released on July 18 and continues to run in some theatres and multiplexes. Critics gave it decent reviews, but audiences showed immense love, keeping the film alive for weeks.
Saiyaara will premiere on Netflix on September 12. While it could create another wave digitally, many predict that it might face trolling on OTT despite its massive theatrical success.
Some viewers argued that the film was cringeworthy, with an average storyline and performances. However, hopeless romantics turned it into a blockbuster, which may not translate the same way on Netflix.
