
Following the success of Balagam, there has been a growing demand for movies, series, and shows that authentically depict the people, culture, traditions, and life of Telangana.
Now, a web series titled Sivarapalli is streaming on Amazon Prime Video. However, many OTT viewers who aren’t well-versed with the latest happenings in the world of streaming initially assumed it to be an original series based in Telangana.

But, to their shock, they quickly realized that Sivarapalli is, in fact, a scene-for-scene remake of the blockbuster Hindi series Panchayat.
Panchayat has already been consumed by a vast majority of OTT audiences, not just in the Hindi belts, but also in the South.

While Sivarapalli is a well-made and genuine attempt, it being a remake of Panchayat has left many viewers unimpressed.
Although the setting, characters, humor, and performances are commendable, the lack of originality makes it hard for the audience to fully accept Sivarapalli.

Panchayat is deeply ingrained in their minds, making it difficult for them to own the series, despite its authentic and well-crafted execution.
