South India To Be Focus Of SonyLIV!

SonyLIV, one of the leading OTT platforms in India, has consistently delivered quality shows such as “Scam,” “Rocket Boy,” and underrated gems like “Unseen.” Demonstrating excellence in content, With reality shows like “Shark Tank,” SonyLIV has witnessed a surge in viewership from the south, prompting plans to expand its content realm in the region.

The popular OTT platform is set to launch 18 new titles, all originating from Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. This strategic move follows extensive groundwork, with SonyLIV expressing confidence in the enduring appeal of the new South Indian audience.

Among the Tamil shows are “Cheran’s Journey,” “Madras Mystery: Fall of a Superstar,” and “Free Love.” Telugu and Malayalam offerings include “Brenda,” “Kanyasulam,” and “Jai Mahedram.”

Acknowledging the potential risks of launching a substantial slate of South Indian content simultaneously, the makers emphasize that their focus extends beyond the regional shows. They are also introducing “Freedom at Midnight” by Nikhil Advani and the next seasons of “Maharani” and “Undekhi.”
