While the Malayalam and Tamil OTT scenes have delivered some recognizable shows and films, the Telugu industry is yet to produce a truly groundbreaking web series.

The Hindi OTT space has standout shows like Paatal Lok, Panchayat, and The Family Man, and even the Malayalam industry has delivered acclaimed content like Rekhachithram. But the Telugu OTT space lacks such notable titles.
Dhootha, starring Naga Chaitanya, was somewhat of an exception, showing improvement in both quality and content.

Apart from that, there aren’t many memorable shows from the Telugu OTT space.
While the industry still largely aspires to focus on theatrical releases, the streaming revolution has opened up opportunities to explore original ideas that don’t rely on star power or big budgets.
The industry must understand that digital is the present and it operates on a completely different playing field compared to traditional theatrical films.
Once the Telugu industry discovers the full potential of this space, it will be able to freely tell more unique and original stories, solidifying its position in the entertainment market.
