IPL is going on and this seems to be the only event that the whole of India watches and there are as many IPL fans in South India as there are in the North.
But fans have been quite disappointed with what seems to be an element of bias on Jio Hotstar’s part. The Telugu audio was not available for the highlights after the match yesterday.
Jio Hotstar has been careful enough to put more audios like Tamil and Telugu for the commentary and it has even added languages like Bhojpuri and Gujarati as well. But there seems to be some mistake in not adding the Telugu audio to the highlights.
Jio Hotstar had to listen to trollings and criticisms for its commentary panel a lot and now Navjot Singh Sidhu is sacked from the panel. There are more points that the platform gets regularly criticised for, like the number of ads.
But the matter of languages and audios should not add another reason to the list. There are usually Telugu audios for the highlights and there must have been a mistake yesterday. But the platform must take care that such mishaps do not occur again or otherwise it will spoil the IPL experience of a lot of fans.
