Vaazhai, directed by Mari Selvaraj, and Kottukkaali, directed by PS Vinothraj, were released in theatres on August 23rd and acquired positive responses from the critics during their theatrical release.
Both the movies were different from usual commercial entertainers, and Kottukkaali was too different as it’s a festival movie and more content-oriented, which may not work for general audiences.
