Horror Blockbuster on Prime Video @ 499: Worth It?

Directed by Zach Cregger, Weapons is a horror film that created a modest impact at the box office. While it didn’t make waves in theatres, it has returned to the spotlight with its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video.

The movie’s OTT release has sparked attention on social media. Unlike regular OTT releases, Weapons initially required viewers to pay ₹499 to watch, which raised some eyebrows among fans.

One major drawback is the lack of Indian language support. Weapons is currently available only in English, which might limit its reach among regional audiences in India.

The film is also available on Book My Show, but at a steeper price. Renting it there costs ₹549, and purchasing it costs ₹799, which is higher than the Amazon Prime listing.

Set in Pennsylvania, Weapons follows a mysterious story involving the sudden disappearance of 17 school children at exactly 2:17 am. It remains to be seen whether the film can gain momentum on OTT platforms.
