Aamir’s Legendary Classic Combo: No Producer Ready?

Aamir Mansoor Khan project

Aamir Khan is reportedly planning a new film with Mansoor Khan. However, the project is facing budget challenges despite strong creative backing.

Mansoor Khan, known for classics like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and Josh, had stepped away from films and was living a quiet life in Coonoor.

It was Aamir Khan who brought him back into the film space. Initially, Mansoor was involved in production work, but he later found it creatively limiting.

During this phase, Mansoor released his book One, which received a modest response. After reading it, Aamir saw potential to adapt it into a film.

Mansoor then began writing a screenplay inspired by the book. Over time, the project grew in scale, with an estimated budget of ₹200 crore.

The plan was for Aamir Khan Productions to fund half the budget, while external partners would cover the rest. However, no major producers came forward to invest.

The story focuses on two unconventional characters, a scientist and a woman recovering from mental trauma. Their emotional journey forms the core of the narrative.

While the concept is strong, many believe it lacks mass appeal for such a high budget. This has made investors cautious about backing the film.

Ronnie Screwvala reportedly showed interest but suggested reducing the budget. The team revised it to ₹150 crore, yet funding issues continued.

Despite these challenges, Aamir Khan remains committed to the project. The script is said to be finalised, and early casting discussions have also begun.

For now, the film remains on hold due to financial constraints. It stands as a rare case where the actor is ready to proceed, but the production setup is still unclear.

This situation has also sparked discussions among fans. Many are expecting Aamir Khan to deliver a strong comeback with a solid project soon.
