Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, brother of renowned director Anurag Kashyap, has launched a string of serious allegations against Salman Khan and his family. The Dabangg director has accused them of unfair treatment and controlling behaviour during the film’s production.
Abhinav claimed that he wasn’t given creative freedom while working on Dabangg and that he wasn’t paid as promised. He also made personal remarks about Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora, which many found unnecessary and disrespectful.
While Salman Khan and his brothers have chosen not to respond, several people from the film industry have come forward to defend the actor. Celebrity photographer Varinder Chawla called Abhinav’s statements “completely disgusting” and questioned the timing of his outburst.
Chawla pointed out that Dabangg released in 2010 and asked why Abhinav stayed silent for more than a decade. Joining in, Ekta Kapoor reshared Chawla’s post on social media, expressing her support for Salman and criticising Abhinav’s remarks.
