Aditya Dhar has renewed his first look deal with Jio Studios for two more years. The move comes after the success of Dhurandhar.
Aditya’s next directorial will again be backed by Jio Studios. Apart from directing, he will also develop projects as a producer under the renewed agreement.
The strong performance of Dhurandhar reportedly played a key role in sealing the new deal. Earlier, Aditya and Jio had collaborated on projects such as Dhoom Dhaam.
Reports suggest that the duo are keen to bring Ranveer Singh on board once again. Aditya is also planning a mythological action film, although it may take time to enter production.
Meanwhile, his long delayed project The Immortal Ashwatthama is unlikely to be revived.
Online reactions have been mixed. Some users believe Aditya will work harder and deliver something bigger than Dhurandhar.
Others have advised him to stick to his strengths while presenting stories in fresh formats. However, a section of netizens questioned Jio’s confidence, warning against over reliance on one blockbuster.
