After gaining wide praise for playing the villain Rehman Dakait in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, Akshaye Khanna is reportedly in talks for another major role. Reports suggest he may star opposite Salman Khan in an upcoming project.
According to a report by ABP, Akshaye Khanna is being speculated as the main antagonist in Salman Khan’s much awaited Kick 2. The film is a sequel to Salman’s 2014 action thriller and has been in discussion for several years.
Salman Khan confirmed the development of Kick 2 during the Bigg Boss 19 finale on December 7, 2025. He stated that work on the film has already begun. Early production is said to be under way, with filming expected to start by mid 2026.
Jacqueline Fernandez is set to return as the female lead. The story will continue the journey of Devi Lal Singh, also known as Devil, on a much larger scale. The makers are reportedly eyeing Eid 2027 or Christmas 2026 for release.
However, Akshaye Khanna’s involvement remains unconfirmed. Neither Salman Khan nor producer Sajid Nadiadwala has officially addressed the rumours. The reports continue to remain speculative at this stage.
