
Rashmika Mandanna, following a record box office run with consecutive ₹500+ crore successes-Animal, Pushpa 2: The Rule, and Chhaava-has now started filming Maddock Films’ highly anticipated horror-comedy Thama amidst the scenic hills of Ooty.
Her latest movies not only broke records but also cemented her as Bollywood’s current box office queen, surpassing even Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt in recent times.

But her dream ride was derailed with Sikandar, in which she co-starred with Salman Khan. The movie was severely criticized for its poor content and Rashmika’s “cringe” acting, and fans trolled her for another stereotypical “wife” character and minimal screen space.
Though the movie attempted to monetize to cover its costs, Sikandar was universally regarded as a creative and box office failure, temporarily bruising Rashmika’s untouchable momentum.
