Ajay Devgn has confirmed seven new films where he will play the lead. These projects are scheduled for release between 2025 and 2027. Unlike many stars who take time to announce projects, Ajay has locked his lineup in advance.
He will first appear in De De Pyaar De 2, which continues the story from the first film. After that, fans will see him in Dhamaal 4, Drishyam 3, and Golmaal 5. In 2027, Ranger, Shaitaan 2, and Bholaa 2 will hit theatres.
The lineup looks strong, but fans are worried because only one original film is included. The rest are sequels. While sequels can succeed, they often fail if the content does not impress.
Ajay’s Raid 2 performed fairly well, but Son of Sardaar 2 could not match the original’s success. This raises doubts about his decision to focus mainly on sequels instead of new stories.
Some fans also feel that Bholaa did not perform strongly enough to deserve a sequel. They want Ajay to explore fresh scripts, as he has the potential to deliver powerful original films.
For now, audiences may need to wait until 2027 to see Ajay in a non-sequel role. Drishyam 3 has high expectations, and the future of other sequels like Dhamaal 4 will depend entirely on their content.
It remains to be seen when Ajay will shift focus from sequels and surprise fans with more original stories.
