Remake or Original? Great Reviews Put AD in Dilemma

Ajay Devgn Shaitaan 2 update

Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan was a big success with audiences. The thriller’s gripping story and shocking climax left fans eagerly hoping for a sequel. Soon after, discussions began about whether Shaitaan 2 would be an original story or a remake.

Reports revealed that even though an original script was ready, Ajay Devgn was also considering adapting the Gujarati film Vash Level 2. The actor planned to decide after the release of the Gujarati sequel.

With Vash Level 2 now released, fans are curious to know which path Ajay will take. The film continues 12 years after the first part, showing the evil force still haunting the protagonist’s daughter.

In Vash, the story ended on a tragic note with the wife and son’s death. But Shaitaan had a relatively happier ending, where Ajay’s character saved his daughter and reunited with his family.

This difference in climax made the makers of Shaitaan initially lean towards creating an original story for the sequel while retaining the established backstory.

Earlier reports also suggested that Ajay Devgn and his team were in discussions with Vash Level 2 writer-director Krishnadev Yagnik. If the film succeeds at the box office, the Hindi adaptation could become a reality.

From the first reviews, the response is mixed. Some viewers call it terrifying and a cinematic rollercoaster, while others feel the ending could have been stronger. The buzz around the film is strong.

Ajay Devgn now faces a tough call. Will he take the creative risk of moving forward with an original script, or play it safe by adapting Vash Level 2 for Hindi audiences? Fans are waiting for his decision.
