Bollywood fans are sky-high in their excitement as they await the release of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming horror-comedy ‘Bhooth Bangla’, set to release on April 26th, 2025.

Akshay seems to be in a desperate hurry to end his streak of failures. He has faced a humongous total of 15 flops in the last 3 years, forcing him to reconsider some fundamentals.
This has led to him going back to his roots, working with Priyadarshan to try and recreate the Hera Pheri magic.

But Priyadarshan is in deep waters of his own, as more and more people call him ‘outdated’ by the day, with his film ‘Hungama 2’ turning out to be a BO disaster.
It seems that this has forced the hand of Akshay to include Tabu in the film, owing to her fantastic acting skills and maintained relevance.

Last seen with Akshay in Hera Pheri, their performances became cult classics for their fans.
So it comes as no surprise that Akshay is trying to tap into that nostalgia to get to the hearts of the audience.
Sources have revealed that Tabu will play a pivotal role in the film, with her character blurring the lines between horror and humour pertaining to Indian mythology.
Social media is also elated at hearing about the coming together of their favourite actors after such a long time.
One user said, “Tabu is a powerhouse of talent. Her joining #BhoothBangla makes this even more exciting. Akshay + Tabu + Priyadarshan = gold!”
Another showered praises as he commented, “With Tabu and Akshay in one frame, this film is going to be a perfect mix of humour and class!”
Apart from Akshay and Tabu, the film will also feature an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani.
It will be interesting to see whether Akshay’s attempt at recreation of the nostalgia works out, as the film gears up for release on April 26th.
