Awarapan 2 vs Batwara 1947 BO: How Much Needed for HIT?

Awarapan 2 and Batwara 1947 box office clash

There are only a few hours left for the biggest clash at the box office between Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2. The latter is already showing a good response in advance bookings, and predictions have started on which one can be expected to hit a sixer at the box office.

Talking about Batwara 1947, the reported budget of the film is Rs. 120 crores. This means that the film needs a final number of almost Rs. 240 crores to emerge as a Super Hit. It is still on the safe side if it can collect Rs. 180-200 crores, becoming a clear hit or a hit.

Batwara 1947 will be called an above average or average if the collections touch the mark of Rs. 130-160 crores. It is going to be a below-average film if the numbers are Rs. 110 crores. The movie’s verdict will be a disaster with Rs. 70 crores and a flop with Rs. 90 crores.

On the other hand, Awarapan 2 has been made with a controlled budget of Rs. 45 crores, which is good for an Emraan Hashmi film. In this range, the movie needs only Rs. 120 crores to become a Super Hit. The ongoing situation in terms of the movie’s advance booking hints that this number is possible.

Collections between Rs. 90-105 crores will make it a hit or a clear hit. The film will turn out to be an average or above average if the numbers are between Rs. 60-75 crores. It will be called a below-average if the collections somehow touch Rs. 45 crores. The final verdict will be a flop or disaster if it collects between Rs. 20-30 crores.

Batwara is not showing any good growth as of now. The situation remains the same as it has been since the day the advance booking was opened. Trade experts have said for now that the movie has to entirely depend on word-of-mouth and on-the-spot bookings, specifically in the last few minutes before the show, if nothing changes at all.

Latest reports have stated that Awarapan 2 is expected to emerge as the highest-grossing film of Emraan’s career while recording his biggest opening ever since the beginning of his career. A particular section of the audience on social media has even predicted that the movie might collect more than Rs. 120 crores at the domestic box office.

Sunny Deol’s fans are still not accepting defeat for now. The supporters are undoubtedly going to celebrate the arrival of the action superstar in theatres after a gap of a few months. Trade experts have stated that even if the film takes a slow opening, a good word-of-mouth will help it to take a big jump on the second and third day.

Based on the advance booking figures, a lot of things are expected to change for both films. But it will be interesting to see which one is going to surpass expectations in terms of box office numbers and content at the same time.
