The trailer for Bhooth Bangla is finally here and it feels like Priyadarshan has cooked a big surprise this time as the 3 minute footage is genuinely entertaining.
The trailer starts with a voiceover explaining that somebody is trying to resurrect Vadhusur. In the next scene, we see Akshay Kumar’s character interacting with late Asrani ji who tells him that he shouldn’t stay in the palace. After that, a couple of slapstick jokes are shown and then it jumps to glimpses of Tabu in a flashback dance sequence. A bat like creature is also shown hiding in the shadows. Akshay Kumar recreates his “behen darr gyi” moment and Rajpal Yadav recites his famous “ghanta” dialogue.
Akshay Kumar is clearly in his element here. He plays a character who finds himself stuck in a spooky mansion but his reactions are more funny than scared. The other cast members are given their moments to shine and they are in their top form. The trailer indicates that there’s a satanic cult as well who are trying to summon some sort of demon so there’s a mystery angle in the plot.
The best part of the trailer is definitely seeing the old gang back together. Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani are all present in the footage. Just seeing them on screen together after a long time brings back so many memories of comedy classics.
The movie is set to release on April 17 with special previews on April 16. If the full movie is as good as this trailer, fans are in for a hilarious ride at the cinema. It looks like the perfect summer entertainer for Indian families who want to sit back and laugh together.
