Following the release of Nadaaniyan, there is buzz about a new college romance by Dharma that is set to go on floors soon.
Ananya Panday and Lakshya are set to star in Chand Mera Dil, a fresh take on college romance.
Directed by Vivek Soni and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film is about to begin filming. The duo will play engineering students, bringing a youthful love story to life.
According to the latest reports, the film is set to begin shooting in a week.
Ananya Panday and Lakshya, who play engineering students, have been prepping for the role, and the film has been in pre-production. Vivek Soni is scheduled to begin shooting on March 15, with the first schedule taking place in Pune.
Upon hearing this news, fans are questioning whether this will be another disappointing film like Nadaaniyan.
Lakshya is considered a far better actor compared to Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Ananya Panday has also improved her skills, as seen in shows like Call Me Bae and CTRL. She has found her comfort zone in acting and has been excelling in it.
This film marks the third collaboration between Karan Johar and Vivek Soni after Meenakshi Sundareshwar and Aap Jaisa Koi.
Given their past collaborations, fans are hopeful that this college romance will be a far better and more authentic portrayal than the phoney version they saw in Nadaaniyan.
