December has increasingly become a favourable window for blockbuster releases, and Dhurandhar is the latest addition to that list. The film joined earlier December successes like Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor and Pushpa 2 led by Allu Arjun.
While Animal gave a major boost to the box office in 2023, Pushpa 2 shattered records in 2024. Both films arrived in December, reinforcing the belief that the month offers maximum audience turnout.

On the Hollywood front, Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji 3 is scheduled for a December 11 release. Expectations are high that the third instalment will outperform its predecessors.
December 18 is expected to witness a major clash, with Avengers: Doomsday releasing alongside Dune 3. Both films carry massive hype and are tipped to dominate the global box office.
Adding to the competition, The Angry Birds 3 is also set to hit theatres. With several top-tier projects targeting December, it remains to be seen which films will ultimately win the box office race.
