The second half of 2025 has been dull for Bollywood. Big titles like Housefull 5, War 2, and Jolly LLB 3 failed to live up to expectations, leaving the box office cold.
Fans have almost lost hope, but they’re still looking forward to Thamma and Dhurandhar to close the year on a high. Among the two, Dhurandhar is getting more buzz for its star-studded cast and Ranveer Singh’s unique spy avatar.
An important asset from the film is expected to drop this Diwali, and fans are hoping it’s the official trailer. The film features Ranveer alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna a powerful ensemble.
Much of the story unfolds on a recreated Pakistan set, where Ranveer’s character operates as an undercover spy. With its nationalist tone, Dhurandhar fits right into the current audience preference for patriotic thrillers.
If it delivers, Dhurandhar could give Bollywood the strong finish it needs and bring 2025 to an energetic close.
