A behind-the-scenes photo from Salman Khan’s upcoming film, The Galwan Valley has gone viral, sparking a heated debate online.
Instead of blindly supporting the actor, even Salman’s fans have taken the liberty to criticize him for his unnecessary attempts at making an action film.
The viral photo has fans and audiences raising concerns over both the casting choices and Salman’s unreal physical transformation.
The film, directed by filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia, aims to recreate the 2020 military confrontation between Indian and Chinese troops.
The picture portrays a BTS of Salman will appear as Colonel B. Santosh Babu, the commanding officer who led the Indian side.
However, instead of Salman’s health, the image triggered a heated debate around the film’s supporting cast when some people on the internet labelled them as “berojgar artists” (unemployed artists).
The presence of all these unfamiliar faces has fueled the speculation that, owing to his recent flops, Salman is facing budget constraints, and introducing new faces is a deliberate attempt to hide that.
The film stars Salman Khan alongside Chitrangada Singh, Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia, Harshil Shah, Heera Sohal, Vipin Bhardwaj, Abhilash Chaudhry, Abhishrri Sen, Chintan Gandhi, Chintan Shah, Suresh Nair, and Shelraj Patel.
Besides Salman Khan and Chitrangada Singh, the rest of the cast remains largely unfamiliar to audiences. Many have started speculating that some of them might be Salman’s friends or relatives, cast merely due to personal connections instead of talent or popularity.
People on the internet have mixed reactions about this development. Some believe that this is a good opportunity for fresh talents to enter the industry, whereas others interpret this as a sign that no one in the industry wants to work with Salman anymore.
Many predict that if this film flops worse than Sikandar, Salman might have to silently make his exit from the industry before he turns everyone against him.
