Flops Effect: Big Star’s Movie Sold for Modest Price

A series of flops is definitely a spoiling factor for star heroes’ movie business. When a mega budget movie like ‘Mohenjo Daro’ flops big time, even a star hero like Hrithik Roshan has no choice but to play a safe game.

Hence the makers of his upcoming release ‘Kaabil’ had decided to play a safe bet and hence sold the rights of the movie for moderate prices. How much would be considered a moderate price for a Hrithik Roshan’s movie? The Indian theatrical rights of ‘Kaabil’ are sold for Rs. 50 crores and the international theatrical rights for Rs. 15 crores.

Usually, Hrithik Roshan’s films are sold for astronomical figures like it happened for his ‘Krish’ series of movies and ‘Bang Bang’. Even the flop show ‘Mohhenodaro’ got a whopping price before its release. Though ‘Kaabil‘ garnered good hype by the virtue of its trailer content, the makers of the movie are playing it safe selling for a moderate price. Intelligent move indeed!
