The superhit combo, Emraan Hashmi and Himesh Reshammiya, are collaborating with each other after a long gap. The duo’s new film titled Gunmaaster G9 has been recently announced with three separate videos.
Emraan shared the clips through his official handle on X on July 9, 2025, and each of them features an introduction of the main characters with their voiceovers. Apart from Emraan, the lead roles will be played by Genelia Deshmukh and Aparshakti Khurrana.
Each video shows a hand coming out of a bucket. The first one with Emraan’s voice features a hand with tattoos holding a gun. While the second with Genelia’s voice has a butcher knife, the third with Aparshakti’s voice shows a bomb.
Emraan’s post confirmed that the film is releasing in 2026 and it will be directed by Deepak Mukut, who will also serve as a producer along with Hunar Mukut.
The videos have hinted that the Gunmaaster G9 will be intense and very different. Moreover, fans are expected to visit theatres, considering that Emraan and Himesh are reuniting, which means that the music will be up to the mark.
Emraan and Himesh have provided many chartbuster songs over the years like Aashiq Banaya Aapne, and it seems like the soundtrack of Gunmaaster G9 will be played on loop, helping it to start trending on platforms like JioSaavn and Spotify.
While a certain section of the audience claims that Emraan’s star power does not exist anymore like it used to in the past, he still has the potential to attract audiences if the film offers entertainment.
With a year left for release, the makers have enough time to work on the story and screenplay, and ensure that they add sufficient entertaining elements that will leave an impression on both single screen and multiplex audiences.
