Hero out: Big Difference Between Hero & Director

The producers who bought the Hindi remake rights of ‘Arjun Reddy’ are so impressed with the director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga of the original Telugu version that they had finally decided to retain the director and change the hero.

It is said that Arjun Kapoor was the original choice of the producer. But, the Bollywood young hero wanted the director, Amit Sharma to direct the Hindi remake because he thought a director who knows Hindi very well can do justice to the remake. However, the producers thought otherwise.

To retain the flavour of the original, the producers wanted Sandeep Vanga to helm the remake of the intense drama that has a bold plot playing with the struggles of a medico with major anger management issues. Earlier, it was rumoured that Sandeep Vanga wanted Arjun Kapoor to lose 20 Kgs weight. Finally, Shahid Kapoor walked in to get into Vijay Deverakonda’s shoes.
