
Actress Janhvi Kapoor recently spoke openly about the ordeal women go through during their periods, describing how hard it is to describe this ordeal—particularly to men who do not often take it seriously.
She complained about how period pain is often brushed aside as a minor problem, which does little to alleviate the discomfort women feel.

Janhvi mentioned that she gets mood swings and physical changes during her periods, which sometimes influence her behaviour and speech.
She spoke about how others ask her, “Is it that time?” when she speaks curtly, and although some do it in a casual manner, the tone can be disrespectful and hurtful.

She insisted that only people who really know about period pain provide real support and recommend rest. Others, however, reply sarcastically, saying it is “normal” without knowing how painful and draining it is.
Janhvi courageously said that if men had to go through periods, the pain would be so severe it would feel like a nuclear war.

Her down-to-earth and genuine point of view resonated with most. On the work side of things, after a bumpy beginning to her Bollywood career, Janhvi hit gold with her Telugu debut co-starring Jr. NTR in Devara and is set to launch into her next blockbuster, Peddi, with Ram Charan in March next year.
