Janhvi Kapoor and Sreeleela are coming together for a romantic thriller. While the film has not been titled yet, the makers have now started looking for someone who will play the male lead.
The project is being backed by Ekta Kapoor and Guneet Monga Kapoor. The storyline will feature two girls obsessed with the same boy. The movie is expected to go on the floors by October or November 2026. However, everything will depend on whether the makers will be able to find the right male lead by then.
Umesh Bist has been brought to direct the film. For the unversed, Umesh is well-known for his work on Pagglait, The Trial Season 2, Gyaarah Gyaarah, and more.
While Sreeleela is already a part of Anurag Basu’s romantic film, featuring Kartik Aaryan, there is a possibility that this planned romantic thriller might mark her Bollywood debut in case the other one witnesses more delays. Moreover, netizens are still excited to see Sreeleela in Bollywood, specifically the section who have watched her dance in the Hindi-dubbed version of Pushpa 2.
On the other hand, netizens stated that the romantic thriller is a film where there is a possibility that Janhvi Kapoor might be able to show her potential. A few social media users even advised her to make changes to her character and screen time if needed, in case she finds anything that repeats or sounds similar to her role in Peddi.
However, a particular section has pointed out that the movie is still a repetitive formula of one boy and two girls. Although the story is being changed this time, with two girls being obsessed with a boy, a few people commented that the situation will be the same unless the makers add some intense moments, considering the fact that this is a thriller.
