After a long wait, the trailer for Maatrubhumi has been officially launched. While fans are waiting for the trailer to be released online, a new update has made headlines.

Initial reports claimed that the film will arrive on the big screen on November 20, 2026. But now it has been shifted to December 4, 2026. Apart from November 20, two more dates, which included November 13 and December 11, were also being considered by the makers.

The release on December 4 means that Salman Khan’s film will clash with Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha. Although any one side is expected to face losses, trade experts believe the opposite, as they stated that this will actually help to attract more audiences for both the films.

On the other hand, netizens have started discussing whether Salman will get beaten by Shraddha. While it is too early to predict anything, the majority have claimed that Eetha has better potential since it has already generated a lot of hype with its first teaser that was released a long time ago.

People even claimed that although Maatrubhumi is going to have a patriotic feel, the film has already gone through multiple delays and many other changes, which has ended the buzz that it created when it was first announced.

Netizens also pointed out the weak marketing strategy of Maatrubhumi, with most of them saying that music is expected to be the strongest asset of such films. However, they stated that in the case of Salman’s film, music has turned out to be highly disappointing. They even criticized and questioned the use of the latest track, Teri Sexy Beauty.

But a section is still supporting both films. Salman’s fans have already come out to defend him, saying that one song cannot decide the fate of the film. They added that in case the word-of-mouth is extremely positive, people will buy tickets.

A few others stated that Maatrubhumi has better potential to work at the box office, specifically at a pan-India level. They said that while Eetha’s trailer is good, it has a lot of Marathi flavour, which is only going to work in Maharashtra instead of appealing to the pan-India audience.
