Rajkummar Rao is currently one of the most promising actors in the industry, and his work rate has been superb in the last two years.
After his blockbuster Stree 2 last year, there hasn’t been any stopping for Rajkummar Rao as he has worked in several projects since then and continues to shine on the big screens time to time again.
With Bhool Chuk Maaf, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and his upcoming gangster thriller Maalik, Rajkummar Rao has also decided to join hands with Karan Johar in a one-of-a-kind creature film under the direction of Sandeep Modi.
Known for directing web series like Aarya and The Night Manager, big things can be expected from the duo of Sandeep Modi and Rajkummar Rao. Being a creature-based thriller film, the film aims to be a huge success, and the makers are looking to capitalize on it, thereby further developing it into a franchise.
According to several sources, Rajkummar Rao is reportedly agreeing to almost 12 crores for the film, which is his highest fee to date. It certainly shows that the project is huge and Karan Johar wants to provide top-tier quality to the viewers.
This isn’t the first creature-based film under Karan Johar, as he is also working with Kartik Aaryan in Naagzilla which is also another film with an identical setting where Kartik Aaryan plays the role of a naag.
Both films are scheduled for a 2026 release, and they will start shooting by the end of 2025. As Rajkummar Rao has shown he is an absolute workhorse, he needs to put out some quality alongside Karan Johar, given how his trajectory has been since Stree 2.
Only time will tell if Rajkummar Rao will be able to pull it off or not, as the shoot for the film is expected to start towards the end of 2025.
