The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt, had to stop shooting when the rain gods poured buckets and the city was waterlogged and the outdoor sequence couldn’t be shot.

Bhansali is known for his perfectionism and he refused to compromise on the visual of the scene or the safety of his 500 member crew, especially when local trains were disrupted and many of his team members were stranded far from the set.

The delay though frustrating, is a reality of filmmaking in Mumbai, the monsoon capital. With tight schedules especially when you have a star studded cast such interruptions can be disastrous for smaller films.

But Bhansali’s team is not worried. The shoot will resume once the situation improves and insiders say the overall schedule including the March 2026 release will be intact.

What’s impressive is the dedication of the cast: Ranbir and Vicky have gone through intense physical transformation for their roles and that’s how big the film is.

In an industry where weather can change plans overnight “Love & War” is a testament to the spirit and adaptability of Bollywood’s best. The show will go on.
