Before Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh was confirmed as the new Don after Shah Rukh Khan in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3. However, recent reports claim that Ranveer has now stepped away from the project following his strong comeback.
Several reasons are being cited for his reported exit. Dhurandhar 2 is said to require additional shooting in early 2026, clashing with Don 3. Sources also say Ranveer wants to move straight to Pralay, his zombie thriller with Jai Mehta.
Another reported factor is remuneration. After the success of Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh is believed to have asked for a fee hike. This demand allegedly did not fit within the budget planned for Don 3.
Although the shoot of Don 3 has been pushed to February, Ranveer’s departure has raised questions among fans about the future of the franchise. Many are now unsure about the direction Farhan Akhtar plans to take.
