Horror universe worked really well for Bollywood last year when the films Stree 2 and Munjya released.

Now, everyone is waiting for another film belonging to the same universe – Thama.
However, Aditya Sarpotdar, who had directed Munjya earlier, said that Thama is not going to be a horror comedy like Stree 2 or Munjya.

The audiences liked the other two films mainly because of their comedy element, including horror.
Talking about Thama, it is reportedly going to be a romantic comedy with supernatural elements that will release on Diwali 2025.

The film, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddique, and more is already creating a lot of hype and is also expected to have huge collections at the box office.
However, if it misses the elements present in Stree 2 and Munjya, will it be a hit? That remains a question.
Meanwhile, here’s what Aditya said, ““It is a romantic film with certain supernatural elements backing it… mainly comedy and the theme being romantic.”
He added, “enough horror-comedies with Stree, Bhediya and Munjya,” implying that Thama will be more comedic, lighter, and love-driven to add a wider emotional range to the Maddock Universe.
Speaking of Rashmika Mandanna, she has had a golden run in the box office with hits like Animal, Pushpa 2, and more. Although her last release, Sikandar, co-starring Salman Khan, could not do much, she is still expecting to continue her golden run with Thama.
Now that it’s not going to be the same kind of horror comedy as Stree 2 or Munjya, will it suffice for the audience? Let’s see.
