‘Open Talk’ on Heroes Off-Screen Behavior

Not everything is glittery and shiny in the tinsel town. Several incidents of abuse have come to the light in recent times in the film world. Lately, more number of actors and filming crew have opened up about suffering such traumatic incidents at the hands of such influential people. Allegations of sexual abuse have been made and very few film industry folks are willing to reveal the reality.

Actress Richa Chadda, in a candid chat, shared shocking details about the Hindi Film industry. About people admitting about suffering abuse in Bollywood, the actress said that, “We will lose a lot of heroes and several people will lose their lives’ work, their legacies” if such things come out.

In a surprisingly blunt manner, the actress said that if it happens, “the entire power structure will change. People who you see making feminist films and claiming to be progressive etc. they will all come tumbling down.” However, Chadda accepted that this won’t happen anytime soon for Bollywood “given the culture of naming and shaming in our country.”
