No To Kick 2 –Yes To Ready 2

The Kick 2 we are talking about here is not the Telugu one. It is the sequel to the original Kick remade in Bollywood starring Salman Khan. The fans of the star loved it, and he was more than willing to do the sequel.

A grand announcement too was made regarding the sequel and release date was also locked. Kick 2 was planned as big Christmas action entertainer for the year 2019. However, Race 3 has put breaks on the sequel plans. With its action premise and finding something ‘original’ plot-wise has made the star put it on backburner fearing a repeat of Race 3.

In place of Kick 2, Salman Khan has agreed to do Ready 2 instead. As many are aware, the Ram starrer was also remade by the star and was a big success. The subject for the sequel can be readily taken from multiple films that dominated the scene in Telugu film industry until recently. It makes Ready 2 a more safe project and hence the first choice. An official confirmation is awaited.
