Maddock Films has revealed its next addition to the growing horror universe titled Shakti Shalini. The announcement was made during the screening of Thamma, where a teaser video unveiled the film’s title logo with an eerie background score that set the tone perfectly.
The teaser ended with the line, “The mother of all… Aneet Padda in Shakti Shalini,” confirming that Aneet Padda will play the lead role. This marks her first major project as the central character in a large-scale horror film.
The story will revolve around a woman with mysterious powers, introducing a new angle to the Maddock horror franchise. The production team aims to expand the shared supernatural universe that began with earlier hits like Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya.
Though details about the supporting cast and plot remain under wraps, sources indicate that Shakti Shalini will connect with previous Maddock horror titles, strengthening the franchise’s narrative links.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, the movie is set for a theatrical release on December 24, 2026, taking the Christmas slot initially reserved for Mahavatar.
