Shraddha Kapoor’s appearance at the trailer launch of Maddock’s film Thamma created a storm online, with fans debating whether she has now become the “face” of the studio’s Horror Comedy Universe. She attended the event with producer Dinesh Vijan.
The launch revealed not just Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, but also two more projects. These include Chhoti Stree, an animated film, and Stree 3, the next part of the franchise.
Fans noticed Rashmika was missing from the event, sparking speculation that Shraddha’s presence overshadowed her. Many felt the lead actress of Thamma should have been highlighted instead.
Rashmika, however, joined through a video message. She explained she was shooting for Maddock’s Cocktail 2 at the time. She thanked fans for their support, spoke about her role in Thamma, and promised to attend future promotions.
While social media buzz suggested rivalry, Shraddha remains a key part of the Stree universe. With Thamma, Chhoti Stree, and Stree 3 lined up, Maddock’s Horror Comedy Universe is expanding fast.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar of Munjya fame, Thamma releases this Diwali with a cast that includes Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
