Shah Rukh Khan’s King is expected to release by the end of this year. Amid this, a fresh update from the BBNG community has sparked interest among fans, bringing attention back to one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s long discussed projects.
According to the latest reports, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has once again offered Inshallah to SRK. The superstar had earlier declined the film twice. Now, the makers have reportedly made changes and are trying to bring him on board again.
The film is expected to be narrated to SRK after August. The final decision will rest with him. Fans are keen to see him accept the project, believing it could showcase a different side of his acting on screen.
SRK and Sanjay previously collaborated on Devdas, which remains one of the most celebrated films in his career. Since then, audiences have been waiting to see the duo reunite, while SRK has often praised the director’s creative vision.
If SRK agrees to the project, the film may take time to materialise. Sanjay is currently occupied with Love & War, which is scheduled for release in January next year, delaying any immediate progress on Inshallah.
Given Sanjay’s detailed filmmaking style, the project could take a few more years before reaching theatres. Pre production and planning are expected to take time, making the timeline longer than usual for a big scale film.
Earlier reports suggested that Alia Bhatt might be cast opposite SRK. However, recent updates indicate that the earlier narration did not lead to confirmation, leaving the casting details uncertain at this stage.
There is also no clarity on SRK’s next project after King. While reports mentioned Main Hoon Naa 2, the sequel has not been officially confirmed, and SRK has not announced any decision regarding it.
The key question now is whether SRK will collaborate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again. If it happens, expectations will be high, especially after the massive success of films like Pathaan and Jawan.
