Suhail Nayyar has joined the cast of Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. He is known for his role in the comedy series Single Papa, which received a positive response from the audience.
The ambitious mythological project continues to expand its ensemble. Suhail Nayyar is reportedly playing the role of Sugriva, the brother of Vali, an important character in the Ramayana narrative.
Sugriva plays a key role in the story, eventually becoming the ruler of Kishkindha after Lord Rama defeats Vali. He later supports Rama in his mission to rescue Sita from Ravana.
Reports suggest that Suhail has already started shooting for his portions. The production team is working on a tight schedule to meet planned release timelines.
The film features a star cast including Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravie Dubey, Lara Dutta, and Rakul Preet Singh. This lineup has increased expectations around the project.
Ramayana is planned as a two part cinematic release. The first part is scheduled for Diwali 2026, followed by the second installment in Diwali 2027.
The film is currently under production, with post production work also progressing alongside. It is being positioned as one of Bollywood’s most ambitious films.
While expectations are high, success will depend on balancing scale with authentic storytelling. Fans are also curious about new additions to the cast as rumours continue to surface.
