Salman Fans Celebrate? Cult Sequel Not Happening?

Salman Khan Tere Naam 2 update

Rumours about Tere Naam 2 being in the works with Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala have been spreading since morning. Reports claimed Sajid was planning to buy the rights to the original film to develop a sequel with Salman in the lead.

However, trusted industry sources have now dismissed these claims. They confirmed that Sajid Nadiadwala is not involved with Tere Naam 2 and has no plans to make the film with Salman Khan or any other actor.

An insider explained, “Sajid prefers creating his own franchises. He is not interested in reviving or acquiring rights for old titles. The rumours about him making Tere Naam 2 are completely baseless.”

The original Tere Naam, starring Salman Khan, released in the early 2000s and became one of his most emotional performances. Fans have long wanted a sequel, but insiders say it’s impossible without a solid script.

According to sources, speculation began after Sajid once said his son’s debut film with Shashank Khaitan had the same emotional intensity as Tere Naam. This statement was reportedly misinterpreted as a hint about a sequel.

Sajid also believes that Tere Naam is a classic love story that shouldn’t be remade or reimagined. He reportedly feels that touching such an iconic film would take away from its original impact and emotional depth.

Although Tere Naam 2 isn’t happening, fans can still expect another collaboration between Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman Khan. Sources suggest it could be Kick 2 or an entirely new project in development.

For now, Sajid is focused on his upcoming slate, which includes O Romeo and his son’s debut film directed by Shashank Khaitan. Both projects are expected to begin production soon.
