From crass comedy to obscene vulgarity, the comedy drama left audiences disappointed. In fact, many commented that the film was worse than Housefull 4.

However, it seems like a few trade analysts are still trying to justify the poor performance of the multi-starrer.

We don’t think so because based on the current metrics, the film may hardly cross the Rs 185-200 crore mark. It also means great loss for the production house headed by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Housefull 5 is a below average success and not exactly a flop. There is no denying that the film performed better than the other recently released movies of Akshay Kumar.

However, it is nowhere near the other films, most of which are its predecessors, that have managed to cross the Rs. 500 crore mark.

At this time, the only question that pops up is – why are a few trade analysts still defending Housefull 5?

Isn’t this hypocrisy and part of a larger PR game?

This has led several to perceive the film falsely as a hit. The thing is clear – there were a lot of expectations from Housefull 5 but it couldn’t fulfill many.

As a result, the audience has voted with their feet—and memes. So, it’s high time for those defending the film’s business to stop for a second and reflect on what went wrong!
