After multiple delays, Welcome to the Jungle starring Akshay Kumar has finally entered its final stage of shooting. The film was announced nearly three years ago but faced several production hurdles.
Reports suggest the delays were caused by financial issues and scheduling conflicts involving the large cast. At present, the makers are filming a post credit party song featuring the entire ensemble.
For a comedy film, the prolonged production timeline has raised questions. Despite the presence of several well known actors, the project took far longer than expected to reach completion.
The film is directed by Ahmed Khan and written by Farhad Samji. Both are known for their work on commercial entertainers, often involving remakes.
Earlier reports claimed that Akshay Kumar is now playing a double role in the film. This was reportedly not part of the original script, suggesting that changes were made during the shoot.
Such on set script development indicates a lack of early planning. With audience expectations evolving, comedy films now require sharper writing and execution.
Welcome to the Jungle is reportedly aiming for a June 2026 release. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the final release date.
