In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a newlywed couple’s life was abruptly cut short on their wedding night. Pratap Yadav, 22, and Pushpa, 20, tied the knot on May 30 in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich district. However, their dreams of a blissful life together were shattered when they were found lifeless the following morning in their bedroom. The cause of their untimely demise? Heart attacks, as confirmed by the post-mortem examination report.
The entire community was left in shock and mourning as the couple’s bodies were discovered on May 31. Tragically, they were laid to rest together on the same pyre, adding to the somber atmosphere that had engulfed the village. The incident has raised numerous questions and garnered widespread attention.

According to Inspector Rajnath Singh, in charge of the Kaiserganj police station, the couple retired to their bedroom after two days of wedding festivities. The inspector revealed that there were no signs of forced entry or physical injuries on the bodies, suggesting no criminal involvement. However, the simultaneous occurrence of heart attacks has left some lingering doubts.
A team of forensic experts is meticulously examining the room and surrounding circumstances to uncover the cause of this unfortunate tragedy. Initial investigations have shed light on the lack of ventilation in the bedroom, coupled with the absence of ceiling fans and inadequate air circulation. Superintendent of Police (SP) Prashant Kumar emphasized that these factors could not be overlooked when considering the possibility of cardiac arrest.

The State Forensic Science Laboratory in Lucknow has preserved the couple’s viscera for further analysis. SP Kumar expressed that the families have not yet come forward with any complaints or suspicions.
